Evidence first. Judgement in context.
Owl Diligence is designed around a simple principle: research is useful only when the correct subject has been identified, the evidence can be traced, and the conclusion reflects what the information actually supports.
How an assessment is built
Resolve the entity first
The legal entity, jurisdiction and relevant scope are confirmed before screening results are interpreted.
Primary-source first
Official registries, regulators, courts and government publications are prioritised where they are available and relevant.
Analyst-reviewed conclusions
Findings are reviewed for identity, source quality, recency, materiality and relevance to the proposed relationship.
Source hierarchy
Authoritative registries, regulatory decisions, court or government records and other official publications.
Credible secondary reporting or other reliable material used to confirm, contextualise or explain primary information.
Search engines and discovery tools used to identify possible lines of enquiry. Discovery results are not treated as conclusions by themselves.
Human review and technology
Technology may assist with organising research, generating search structures, checking consistency and preparing draft material. Evidence, attribution, risk judgement and recommendations remain subject to analyst review before delivery.
Data handling
Public enquiry forms are intentionally limited to basic business-contact and scoping information. Clients are asked not to send identity documents, special-category data or confidential files through the public website. Engagement-specific data handling, confidentiality and secure document exchange are agreed as part of the engagement where required.
Independence and scope
Owl Diligence provides independent business risk research and assessment. It does not provide legal, tax, investment or regulated financial advice. Where a matter requires a formal legal interpretation, the client should obtain advice from an appropriately qualified legal professional.
